about me.

Greetings, welcome [to] h.o.me, I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Em. or Emma. or Erm(a). Or really whatever you feel inclined to call me. This truly is the house of me. I am a self-taught woodworker & maker who started making as an outlet when I felt directionless. My degrees hold no true value here and I think I like it better that way. “Conventional” has never really worked well for me, so it’s fitting. My life seems to be a string of missteps or trials & errors of efforts to follow the “right path” that face plant me into what truly fuels me. It’s the long way, but that’s okay. I’m happy to be here & I hope you are, too. I created this space to learn and explore myself along with my interests and find a sense of purpose. My hope is just to be constantly growing, & thinking, & stepping out of my comfort zone. I’m not the best at one thing.. I really don’t want to be. I want to experience as much as I can because I’m anything and everything I choose. And so are you. You are a trillion, nay, gazilliiiion things perfectly intertwined into the imperfect being reading this- thank you for reading this. I hope, if nothing else, maybe this paragraph, or my work, is a reminder of that and proof that you are capable, even when you feel anything but. Although, you already know that!

Anyway, when I’m not in the barn slinging out orders, I am hiking up or skiing down a mountain, in a lake, in my garden, biking, riding around in/working on greta; that oh so glorious snot green type II transporter in the header, or doing some yoga, probably. So here are just about all the photos I have of myself doing some of those thangz. Let’s just pretend I’m as neat as these photos look.
